Terms and Conditions - (Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plan Course)
- If you have booked your course, then you will have already accepted these terms and conditions.
- If you book your course over the counter at one of our offices, then you will be given these terms and conditions.
- If you book over the telephone, then you will receive the terms and conditions for your course in your confirmation email. Should you disagree with these terms then you will have to contact us within 24 hours of your phone booking for a full refund.
- Course bookings are non-transferable to another person nor are fee paid transferable to another course unless you have provided more than 7 days’ notice.
- “We are not a Cricos Registered Provider and our courses are not Cricos Registered - if you are on a Student Visa you should not book this course.”
Course Information Summary
- Each course has a Pre-Attendance, Attendance and Post-Attendance Final Assessment/Evidence requirement.;
- Pre-attendance is made up reading and attempting to understand the learning resources for the course;
- Attendance is made up of training and assessment at our training center and Practical Training Site nearby (walking distance)
- If you are applying for recertification – please also refer to information below under recertification
- Please ensure that you have read all the terms and conditions – you will have to ensure that you also read and understand all information issued to you during your course.
- Training refers to your attendance at our training sites for the purpose of theory and practical training and some assessment (mainly theory)
- Evidence refers to documents that record your skills and knowledge and may include work samples and testimonials
- Final Assessment refers to the assessment that is to be submitted within 90 days of the training attendance in order to confirm competency.
- Submitted assessments take up to 14 working days to mark.
Start Times and Pre-attendance Requirements
- ALL courses (training component) commence at 8:30am SHARP. If you are not at the training center and presenting to reception (office) at 8:30am then you will be recorded as “no show” and your booking will be cancelled. There can be NO exceptions to this rule – you will have to rebook for your course and pay the full fee again. You will be advised about your assessment starting times and locations during your training course.
- Participants are strongly urged to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the advertised/informed starting time. In the event you are running late, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ENTER there will be no refunds. You will have to book again. Calling us in the morning to tell us that you will be late will not change these terms, except in extreme situations and by approval from management (traffic is NOT an extreme situation).
Pre-attendance
- This course includes a Pre-attendance component. Not reviewing this material may result in additional training needs and subsequently fees will apply.

Language, Literacy, Numeracy Skill Requirements and Computer Literacy Skills
In order to have a fair chance at completing this course your English reading, writing and speaking skills must be at least average or higher. It is your responsibility to ensure that you meet the minimum Language, Literacy and Numeracy skill levels as well as having basic skills and competency operating basic software and hardware. - Minimum levels of Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills are required to complete training. This training program requires you to be at a level 4/5. Visit our website for further information. You may be required to undertake a LLN assessment prior to commencement. It is your responsibility to ensure you have the required LLN levels to do this course. If it is discovered after booking, paying and attending that you do not have the required LLN skill levels then you may be entitled to a 50% refund.
- If you require additional assistance due to LLN that may be addressed through additional training time then refer to terms relating to Further Training Required.
- In order to undertake and successfully complete this course, you will need to have basic computer literacy skills including – basic use of email software, basic use of word processing software (such as Microsoft Word and Excel), basic use of web browsers and e-learning portals. If it is discovered after booking, paying and attending that you do not have the required Computer Literacy skill levels then you may be entitled to a 50% refund.
- The skills required to use the software associated with this course will be imparted throughout the course (and by additional free time – see Support below).
- If you require additional assistance due to Computer Literacy Skills that may be addressed through additional training time then refer to terms relating to Further Training Required.
- Cancellations for training courses
- If you cancel a booking with more than 7 days’ notice, we will refund any fees paid. Refunds may take up to 7 days to process and then a few more days to appear in your account.
- If you cancel with less than, then you will lose all fees paid.
- If you do not turn up on the day (or days) then you lose all fees paid, even if you contact us on the day or the night before as this falls outside the required notice periods.
- In extreme circumstances and with evidence, the management may, at their absolute discretion change the terms relating to attendance
- Just Careers Training (trading as Licences 4 Work) reserves the right to cancel a courses (and assessments) due to unforeseen circumstances. Should this occur, any fees paid will be refunded in full, or you may reschedule with no additional fees. In such cases, Just Careers Training’s liability will be limited to the amount of fee paid.
Reschedules for training courses
- If you wish to reschedule with more than 7 days’ notice, then there is no fee. This applies once only. For a second reschedule (with 7 days’ notice), a $150 reschedule fee applies. You may not reschedule a third time; you will lose all fees paid and have to pay the full course fee to book.
- If you wish to reschedule with less than 7 days but more than 72 hours’ notice, then there is a $150 rescheduling fee - this must be paid to secure your booking.
- You cannot reschedule with less than 72 hours’ notice - you will lose any fees paid and have to rebook your course and pay all fees again.
- You can reschedule day 2 after beginning day 1 for a fee of $150 if you notify us before the end of Day 1 (before 5:00pm)
- If you are required to reschedule your course due to illness, you must notify us on the day and a medical certificate must be supplied by the close of business on that day and a fee of $100 is payable. There are no refunds applicable if you cancel due to illness (unless in extreme circumstances by approval of the management)
Confirmation of Booking
- On confirmation of your booking, we will send you a confirmation of enrolment by email. This (or a second email) will provide you information and access to our online portal where you can commence your course.
- If you do not receive your login details, then IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CONTACT US AS PER YOUR CONFIRMATION EMAIL. PLEASE CHECK YOUR JUNK MAIL FIRST. NOT RECEIVING AN EMAIL IS NOT GROUNDS FOR A REFUND OR FREE RESCHEDULE.
- Your course will be provided to you through our online learning management system that is compatible with the vast majority of systems. Please allow yourself time to complete the pre-attendance required study
- If you do not read the learning resources before attending, then you may find this course difficult to complete in the time allocated.
- If you require additional training, then fees will apply.
Duration
- Maximum Course duration is 6 months from day 1 of training.
- (Statements of Completion) SOC is an interim certificate issued once you have been deemed competent and is valid in place of a TCWT card until your TCWT card arrives in the mail.
- SOC is issued once all course requirements are met (competency) and are dated from the 1st day of training. If this occurs after the 90-day expiry of the SOC then the student may continue to complete their course, however no additional SOC will be provided.
- 3 month Extensions are available for a fee of $100. Only ONE extension will be allowed and no further SOC’s will be issued.
- Once submitted assessments may take up to 14 days to mark, as such SOC’s may expire while submissions are being marked – no additional SOC’s will be issued in this circumstance.
- If the course requirements, including marking (which may take up to 14 days), are not finalised by the maximum time allowed for the course then you will need to re-enrol into the course. Any work that is completed may be used if re-enrolment is within 3 months of expiry of first enrolment. Re-enrolments during this period will attract a fee of 50% of the advertised fee.
Further Training
- At the end of day 3, if they need Further Day Training - $150 per day – this is determined by trainer and may be due to not meeting course requirements (including course computer literacy requirements). Further day training usually consists of attending day 2 of an upcoming course.
- If further training is required in the use of the specific software used for this course then this can be arranged at a fee of $100 per hour (or part thereof)
Support and Access to Required Software
- They are entitled to come in and use computers for the purpose of access to software required for TCP/TCGS development by appointment at no fee (subject to availability) – maximum 2 hours at a time and no more than 1 session per day and no more than 3 sessions in total. After which further training day may be booked.
Milestones, Assessments and Results
- Once you have met all course requirements (by Day 3) then you will receive one of the following results:
- “Ready Assessment for Final”
- “Further Training Required” – if this result is issued then you will need to attend further training before proceeding to Ready for Final Assessment
- Once you have submitted your final assessment then it will be assessed by your assessor (submitted work is marked and verification call completed) and you will be notified of one of the following Results:
- Competent – this will mean that you will be issued with your SOC and a Statement of Attainment. It will also mean that we have lodged (or will shortly lodge) your results and you will subsequently receive your TCWT card
- Not Yet Competent - this will mean that you will need to resubmit your assessment and or undertake additional assessment (at the assessors discretion) – a fee of up to $50 applies for each reassessment/ resubmission.
Additional / Specific Terms for Refresher Training
These terms are in addition to or specific to those booking Refresher.
- Statement of Completion issued once all requirements for refresher course met – usually on the day.
- Lodgement for a new TCWT card will be issued once all requirements met.
- Assessments for Refresher course include theory questions, TCP and TMP development.
- Results for Refresher may include: Satisfactorily Completed or Not Satisfactorily Completed
- Where a result of Not Satisfactorily Completed is attained then the candidate is to undertake the full refresher course again at the advertised fee.
RENEWAL TERMS
- If you have booked your course, then you will have already accepted these terms and conditions.
- If you book your course over the counter at one of our offices, then you will be given these terms and conditions.
- If you book over the telephone, then you will receive the terms and conditions for your course in your confirmation email. Should you disagree with these terms then you will have to contact us within 24 hours of your phone booking for a full refund.
Cancellations of Renewal
- If you cancel a booking with more than 7 days’ notice, we will refund HALF the fees paid. Refunds may take up to 7-10 days to process and then a few more days to appear in your account.
- If you change your mind with less than 7 days’ notice you will lose all fees paid.
- If you have not submitted the required paperwork and met requirements for the renewal within 3 months, then you will lose any fees paid and will have to rebook and repay for your renewal at the advertised fee if you still meet the requirements for renewal.
- If you decide that you will not be able to provide the required evidence and therefore not be able to meet the requirements for renewal then, if your card has NOT EXPIRED, and WITHIN 3 MONTHS OF BOOKING, you may instead book into the next refresher course by paying the difference in fees. Please note that this is subject to availability and the dates of our offerings will not affect these terms.
- If your current cards expire due to the fact that you have not submitted the required evidence and/or met the renewal requirements, then you will have to attend for full training as applicable to your circumstances. No refunds apply in this case and you will have to pay the advertised fee for the courses and cards you require.
Confirmation of Booking

Refresher Terms

- In extreme circumstances and with evidence, the management may, at their absolute discretion change the terms relating to attendance.
Reschedules for Refresher training
- If you wish to reschedule with more than 7 days’ notice, then there is no fee. This applies once only. For a second reschedule (with 7 days’ notice), a $100 reschedule fee applies. You may not reschedule a third time; you will lose all fees paid and have to pay the full course fee to book.
- If you wish to reschedule with less than 7 days but more than 72 hours’ notice, then there is a $50 rescheduling fee - this must be paid to secure your booking.

There are no refunds applicable if you cancel due to illness (unless in extreme circumstances by approval of the management), For PWZTMP Refresher it will be $100 with a medical certificate by Close of business.

Additional / Specific Terms for Refresher Training

- Extreme circumstances will be considered by management and any decision to change these terms will be at their absolute discretion and in line with SafeWork NSW requirements.
